Trying to be ahead of the game....

So I'm trying to get everything organized for my weekend in Valley Forge. I'm looking through photos to determine what I want to work on while there. I'm looking forward to getting some projects completed while there. Well....at least I am going to try. I'm working hard to only bring what I think I will have time to work on and plan on leaving the rest. I think I will pick out my products first and then decide what photos to print. Although I have a feeling that some of these photos will make it on a LO very soon.

Who knew I had such a buff kid?

Happy Face.

Sad Face.

Well that's it for now. Wish me luck as I start to pack!

Let's see if this works....

so I am posting on my new phone's internet browser. With going out of town I realized that my family may need to get a hold of me and my prehistoric phone will no longer hold a charge. I went over my lunch to have it fixed and got "talked" into a new one instead. I say "talked" because I was planning on getting a new one anyway, just not this week. This may go back to the store even if it is almost free with the rebate and upgrade credit. ~sigh~ Wouldn't be nice to not have to worry about money? I guess it wouldn't make a difference since I would just have different things to worry about. I do have to honest.....this is pretty cool. I remember my first cell phone, it was huge and extremely expensive. Now I have an entire keyboard and the internet....you know until I take it back.

It's been a busy week....

so it's the end of my first week returning to the world of working Monday through Friday. Needless to say, I am wiped! I have several projects that I am working on that I hope to finish up today. I was told that I would receive a guaranteed block of time each week uninterrupted. I can't wait. I am definitely due for a little me time. It helps me focus and organize all of my priorities for the week. So right now I am finishing up a Disney LO for my upcoming class. You will not believe how many photos I was able to get onto this two page spread with still a ton of room for all of those precious details. As soon as it is completed I will share it with all of you.

Did you realize that CKC in Valley Forge is only a few days away! I cut out all of the pieces for the CKMB ID's to complete today as well. If you already sent me your address, these will be in the mail on Monday. If not and you are still interested in having this RAK, let me know and I will bring extras with me to the conference and we can arrange a time to meet. So that's it for now. I'll leave you with a newer LO that just melts my heart everytime I look at it. Enjoy!

I think I had too much coffee.....

or I am just completely inspired by my evening. I attended the Lisa Bearnson book signing at ScrapMasters. She spent time chatting with all of us while signing our copies of her new book. She was so genuine in person and truly a pleasure to meet. So I drove home, cracked open my new eye candy and I have been doing scrap stuff ever since. I did have a "little" coffee while I was waiting in line. So basically it's a pretty brutal combination that ensured that I would be up till the wee hours of the morning. Oh well, I had such a good time and it was totally worth the trip.

Here's an update on the RAK. I am waiting on one address from the winners. I am hoping to have these items in the mail on Monday. Again, I can't thank you enough for all of the wonderful comments that you left on the blog. I truly enjoy chatting online and checking out everyone else's blogs too.

So since I'm awake, I updated my gallery at 2peas with several LO's that I have been holding onto for one reason or another. I have still kept a few but once I got started uploading, I just couldn't stop, lol! I think I added about 9 LO's so feel free to check it out.

Here's one to share here. This was a fun technique and I really like how it turned out. This was one of my SOY entries. I used Scotch's Photo Laminating Sheets and adhered the sticky side to my chipboard. I then die cut it, stamped with Staz On ink and "inked" the edges using my American Crafts white slick writer. I love the blue and white together, I'm sure it has to do with being a PSU grad. It's funny lately I've been obsessed with die cutting stuff. Maybe I should write a "101 things to put in your die cut machine," or you know like 4 things because I don't know if I could think of 101 things to put in there, lol.

So what do you cut in your die cut machine?

The wait is finally over....

First I want to say THANK YOU, for all of your wonderful comments! You really know how to make a girl feel all warm and fuzzy inside. Second I want to apologize for not posting winners sooner. This was a little bit bigger of a project then I anticipated. So without further ado lets see who won this thing. Winners were randomly selected using basic blind fold and folded paper bits. Don't worry, I included all posts from the blog and PM's on CKMB so everyone who was interested got to play. And the winners are....

In case you can't read it that is in the order that they were drawn Scraprageous 4:54PM, Me 3:10PM, Suzeyq 10:41PM, June 10:59PM, Chrispea 7:09PM and Scrapiano 8:41AM.
So email me, kck182@comcast.net, and list your choices from 1-6. I will do my best to get everyone as close as I can to their favorites. I took photos of most of the pieces, but I have to leave something for a surprise right? With each "kit" there will also be 2 pieces of the new American Crafts Cardstock, just because it is so awesome that I just have to share, coordinating vintage buttons and trim.

The lacing card kit also has some grungboard pieces and additional metal pieces.

Thanks for playing and congrats to all of the winners. We will have to do this again sometime!

RAK is here!

Okay folks so I have been very busy organizing and purging supplies. I have enough goodies to share with about five people. Things that are included are some vintage buttons and trims, metal embellishments, a lacing card set from Cosmo Cricket, letter stickers, grunge board tags, KI memories chipboard stickers and rub ons, Queen and Co felt, American crafts ribbon, and DCWV qoute books. And I haven't even gone through my paper yet. Each package will have enough goodies to make a few coordinated LO's. All you have to do is drop by and say hi in the comment section. It would be great to tell me what you like about reading this blog, but not required. I will randomly draw a few winners early next week.

Also wanted to update everyone of two upcoming classes that I will be teaching at Bonnie's Place for Scrapbooking. I will be teaching a Grunge Board class on July 22nd from 6:30PM-8:00PM and a 2page LO class featuring Creative Imaginations Disney paper on July 30th. Both classes are going to be a lot of fun so if you are in the area you should sign up. Not only will we work with these products, you will learn other skills that you can translate to any of your LO's. Hope to see you there and enjoy your weekend!

RAK coming soon....

I've been working on reorganizing my scraproom so that it is a functional space to sew as well as scrap. I am a "need to see it" to remember to use it kind of scrapper and become easily overwhelmed with supplies even though I keep shopping to a minimum. I just need to keep a reasonable stash to be creative and not feel like I want to run out of this room as soon as I get in here. So with that being said I think it's time to do a giveaway. I subscribe to two kit clubs, the scraproom and the scarlet lime. I love them but always have a few things that I know that I may not use right away. And unfortunately if I don't think I'm going to use it very soon, I just can't manage to store it for a possible future LO. Anyway, typing this makes me feel more accountable to do this. I will purge the things that need a good home and try to make a coordinated "kit" so that they aren't just random things that end up getting passed on from your stash. So when I have this completed I'll post pictures and everyone can let me know who wants to be involved. I'll add all comments from this post and the actual giveaway post and draw a few winners from there.
In the mean time, here's another SOY LO to share. The ribbon goes over the end of the page but got cut off in the scan. Enjoy the LO and the rest of your weekend!

Another LO

Here's the story on this one. I don't have photoshop so I printed two copies of my photo and then handcut the backpack and then glued it to my black and white photo. My title is a mix of a mini file folder with $1 alpha stamps and yellow craft foam that was cut using my Cuttlebug and Cuttlekids dies. Sweet! Those dies cost me $9 at Walmart and let me tell you, I've gotten my money's worth! I love the Making Memories tags but don't have a tag maker so I cut a glue dot in half so that it would attach to my LO without being seen. I also did some doodling around my brads to make little squares, it helped fill the white space without being too distracting. Thanks for checking it out and have a nice night!
