So much to update....

So I have been doing a little shopping the last few days. Isn't funny how the weather gets nice and I feel like it's a perfect day to get some shopping done, in doors??? Oh well. I went to Joann's and found fabric remnants on sale and then they were an additional 50% off! I'm so excited! I can't sew....I'm working on it but I have so many ideas of what to do with these remnants and my cuttlebug. I can't wait to have some time to play with them.

Colin got some great new duds from Carter's. It's sick but one shirt I bought because I had pattern paper to match. I know I would have bought it either way because it was so darn cute but the thought of a LO did cross my mind.

National Scrapbooking Day is around the corner...what are you planning to do that day???? I will be at a crop, only my second one so far, meeting some friends from CKMB. I'm very excited as we all compare our class schedules for Valley Forge. This will be here before you know it. I obviously can't wait but will be a bit disappointed when it is here because that means we are getting closer to the end of summer.

I'm so glad for the nice weather, I've been in a photo rut. I have a point and shoot camera that takes fantastic outside photos....we are still working on the settings for the inside ones. An SLR is just not in the picture right now....which is okay...I'm so blessed with so many other things that I really can't complain. I plan on continuing to learn my camera settings as much as possible and work with what I have, which is a nice camera.

I also added link to my Two Peas Gallery now. I'm officially "a peaing" over on the Pub message board. There is a ton of information that has been really helpful as I work to pursue my scrapbooking goals.

Well that's enough rambling for today. Here's a LO I did for HOF. It was for my innovative technique. The center is a fabric grommet and the clock hands have a brad through them and a pop up dot to raise the clock hands over the LO. Enjoy!

This one's my baby....

I have debated whether or not to post this LO. It is my absolute favorite and I would LOVE, LOVE, LOVE to have it published somewhere. This was another one of my HOF LO's. I used plastic mesh, one of my favorite things to use lately, and adhesive felt to make the flowers. I cut a circle in the background paper and placed a transperency there. That's hard to tell since it is a scan. The title is the phonetics of how to say the disorder my son has. The journaling talks about how I wish I learned how to say it sooner. Enjoy!

New Class

I wanted to post the information for the new class I'm teaching at Bonnie's Place for Scrapbooking. It will be April 28th from 6:30PM-8:00PM. We will be working with Grunge Board so bring your creativity as we continue to look at new ways to use this really cool stuff. As the class gets closer I'll post class materials and any additional info.

Here's another HOF layout. I think I redid this one 4 times because I kept making a mistake here or there with the journaling. Unfortunately my "fixes" only made it worse. So when I was finally happy with it, I knew I wanted to include it as one of my favorites. This LO is about my son's little quirk about having the slide cleaned off before he would go down and my concern that he was a little TOO concerned about being clean. Thankfully he doesn't care too much anymore but I'm glad I did the LO since that was such a big part of that summer. Enjoy!

Wow, it's been awhile....

since I posted. This past week has just gone by so quickly. I have been busy working on some new projects for a tips and tricks class that I will be teaching at Bonnie's Place for Scrapbooking in York, PA. I am very honored for this opportunity to share with others the latest and greatest materials and a few options on how to use them. As soon as I narrow down a few more projects we will set a date. I will keep everyone posted on dates and times. It will be so much fun and I hope you can make it!

Here's one of my favorite layouts that I submitted for my HOF entry. The bottom corner is actually a transparency but we placed cardstock behind it for the scan. I will work on postings a few each day so keep checking back to see if they are all posted. I will also have lots of new pages that I will share in preparation for the new class.

New Layout

We are going to Blue and White Weekend in a few weeks and I've been in a school spirit kind of mood. My little guy can't wait to go to PSU for the weekend since he likes watching the game AND swimming in the hotel pool. Here's a LO of a game last season. Enjoy!

Hershey Park Happy!

Colin and I spent the day at Springtime in the Park at Hershey. We had a great day weather wise. I was impressed with how much walking Colin did all day. We had a few melt downs here and there but for the most part he was pretty well behaved.

Here's a few layouts that I have finally been able to take photos of. These are from our Disney trip last September. Enjoy!

A Pirate's Life for Me!

I've been meaning to post these photos for a few days and just got around to doing it. Better late than never! Colin had his third birthday at Tumble Town last Saturday. It almost didn't happen since he had twisted his foot pretty bad and only started walking on it the night before his party. However, there was no stopping Colin and except for a tiny limp on Saturday no one would have known of the major injury from just a few days ago. Go figure. I made 4 little cakes, 2 boats, a treasure chest and an island. I was really happy with how the cake turned out. However, I don't plan on baking another cake for at least a month.
Needless to say Colin had an absolute blast and we were thrilled with the turnout and everyone's gracious gifts. I'm hoping to scan some layouts tomorrow so as soon as I do I will post some new ones. Take care and have a good night!
