Merry Christmas to Me!

Meet my new best friend. She doesn't say much but she is oh so pretty. I purchased the body today and ordered the lens online. So in a few days I hope to be up and running with this bad boy. I can't wait.

My secret footage would have been terrible....

I had a rough day yesterday. I woke up late and needed to rush to get Colin to his Christmas party at school. I didn't have time to shower and threw on a sweatshirt and jeans that are too big for me. I figured I was just taking him to school and I would be right home right? However, I had this nagging feeling about Colin's Christmas gifts that I had ordered at JCPenny's. So I thought I would just run in quickly, pick up his gifts and then go home. Or so I thought. Turns out that guaranteed Christmas delivery does not actually mean by Christmas. There were two items in stock but in another warehouse, therefore holding up the entire order and at the earliest they may arrive on Tuesday. The extra kicker is that since the order is "in progress," they couldn't cancel it. So they will deliver it to the store for me to return it back to the warehouse that held the whole thing up in the first place. So when I think my day couldn't get any better, I run into old friends that I haven't seen in years. Figures. We all had a good laugh and I promised them that I haven't "let myself go!" I guess it couldn't have been worse, it could have been my ex boyfriend, lol.
Rest assured, Christmas has been saved thanks for last minute shopping, NOT thanks to Penny's. Needless to say JCPenny's is now added to the list of places I will never shop even if I was completly broke and that was the only credit card that I owned, lol!
I'm off to put a bike together and finish some gifts. Merry Christmas to everyone from our family to yours!

Mini Book to Share

I wanted to share a mini book that I completed over the summer. This was so easy and fun to complete. I found this placemat at Wal Mart for $1. I cut the placemat with my rotary cutter to make "pages". Each page was open on at least two sides when I cut them. The best part was since they were open, I was able to hide the backs of my eyelets, brads and stitching in between each page. Once complete, I sewed the open edges together and bound the book using my crop a dile. The hearts are die cut out of vinyl and then blanket stitched.

Only a few more days....

and Christmas will be here. I am slowly checking items off of my to do list. Did I mention that I will be glad when this week is over? Anyway, I did want to update my gallery and post some recent layouts. These were all completed using items from my Scarlet Lime Kit.

I love that I got to be lazy and instead of changing the thread in my sewing machine, I just inked it. It always amazes me how much of a difference little things like that make.

I love the pocket on this layout. I wrote journaling to my son on the outside and journaling to my hubby on the inside.

I love the fabric that was included with this kit. I die cut it and then added the beads and pins. I love the handmade touch it adds to this LO.
I will add these to my gallery shortly with product lists. Have a good night!

I love this show!

I mean, it really is genius. The one liners, their imaginations, the complexities of Perry's secret identity, I could go on and on. There are not a lot of shows that actually make me laugh out loud, but this one does. So if you haven't checked this show out, I would encourage you to DVR it. It is as close as you can get to quality grown up humor on a kids channel without being gross or offensive like some other shows I have watched. It really is a show that we can enjoy as a family.

I am sooooo gonna scrap tonight!

I need it and I need it bad. It's been a rough week to say the least and I could use the break. Even though I should spend the time finishing Christmas gifts, I'm looking forward to some me time. Even though I should get a good night's rest so I could get a family photo taken tomorrow. Gotta love the quicky one hour photo shops in the mall!

Who knows, I may still even send out Christmas cards this year! Since I have been thinking about cards I have been reflecting on this past year. I mean, I have to have something clever to say if I am going to send out a card. It's been two whole years since we took Colin to Cincinnati's Children's Hospital. It's been two years that we have known why he was so sick as a baby/toddler and almost two years that he has been HEALTHY! I think about this a lot in December since two years ago we flew to the hospital for a week for his evaluation. It was a crazy time for our family with work responsibilities and Christmas right around the corner. We hopped on a plane, spent the week there, and then came home to pick out a tree and start shopping for Christmas. I'll never forget running through Target on Christmas Eve at 9:59PM when they were locking the doors. They had a shopping cart that I knew Colin HAD to have and I was not going home without it.
I am so thankful for that crazy time and that week in Ohio. I just keep trying to remember that no matter how insane things get every once in awhile, this is a piece of cake compared to how things use to be.

In less than 2 weeks...

it will be Christmas and hopefully things will start to settle down. I have been trying to stay on top of things this year but I didn't realize that the holiday has gotten so close already. I just wanted to quickly post since I am in the midst of ironing, laundry and planning the next week. I wanted to share a photo of the dress that I made for Matt's Christmas party.

Not too shabby for my first dress. I had some help with the zipper and attaching the top and bottom from my mother in law while I was in the shower. Needless to say, I was finishing this at the last minute and even did a little tacking in the bathroom when we got there.

Here's the dress on me, (it fits me a little better than "Lucy"). I just got "Lucy" on Monday at B Moss's closing sale. Man would it have been helpful to have this dress form last week. Oh well, it will come in handy the next time. You should have seen the looks I got as I was walking through the mall with my new friend, lol.
Anyway, I hope everyone is enjoying their holiday season and I will be checking back soon with some new LO's to share.

Happy Thanksgiving...

Just wanted to post quickly and wish everyone a happy turkey day. These two are fast asleep taking a very late nap. I'm hoping that this is not going to interfere with my midnight shopping tonight. I have never did the "get up at the crack of dawn" thing on Black Friday. However, that time between midnight and 3AM is when I am my most productive. I could probably get all of my shopping done. My goal this year is to have everything complete by the week before. It's a lofty goal but you never know if you can do it if you don't try right? Anyway, I'm off to make a list and work on a few projects before I wake these guys up and eat leftovers.

You know you are a PSU fan if...

1. When purchasing winter outerwear you make sure you have several selections in Blue and White.
2. You have hardcore winter clothing but you neither hunt or ski.
3. You realize before the game that you don't have a blue or white scarf so you make one.
4. You are willing to sit in a parking lot that has the audacity to call itself RT 322 for an additional 2 hours each way.
5. You willing get up early and stay up late as to avoid paying several hundred dollars a night for a hotel room.
6. You are willing to spend the several hundred dollars a night for said hotel room.
7. Instead of singing lullabies to your baby, you sing PSU fight songs.
8. It's on your bucket list to get a good picture of your children with the Nittany Lion.
9. When you or your wife are approximately 2 weeks late, you call PSU to sign said baby up for summer football camp.
10. You are willing to sit in the snow to watch a football game even though there are several warm bars that would be happy to serve you food AND beverages to keep you warm.
11. You stand in front of the warmers in the bathroom to attempt to defrost your feet to see if you can make it, just one more quarter.
12. You start brainwashing your child so that they know that options for college are, playing basketball or football for PSU.
13. You know how to finish this sentence...We Are...

Congrats Penn State on making it to the Rose Bowl. And if you could please keep Jo Pa in your prayers. He just had surgery after the game and all are hoping for a speedy recovery.

Still here....

Honestly, I have been avoiding my computer for the last few weeks. I have been sick and have been going straight to bed with Colin....so not like me. Anyway, I went to bed early tonight and got up to finish my sister's birthday gift. I decided to make her something and hopefully she will like it. I tried to pick fabrics that were different but I'm not sure how I feel about it. I switched the lining and the outside at the last minute. Hopefully she likes it, if not, I'll make her a new one.

So the little time that I have been online, I have been blog hoping. There are so many neat things available that I really feel like I learn something new everyday. Like this post. I ran out and bought this lipstick right away. I followed the directions and sure enough it works...I love it!

Or how cool is this website?

Check it out here. I can guarantee that everyone will be getting handmade gifts this holiday season and this website has given me a ton of crafty ideas and short cuts. I love that!

What do you think of this?

I am planning on making this with straps and in brown for Matt's Christmas Party. I love the idea of making something that will actually fit me and my unique proportions. It's a complete bonus that this is freaking Matt out and he's worried that I won't be able to make it work. Yee of little faith! And besides, I have two back up dresses that I could wear if it doesn't work and the material only set me back $18. Sweet.

Okay, I am going to check the message boards to see what I have been missing. Check ya later!

Out of the mouth of babes...

Colin is a funny kid, actually we all tend to have a decent sense of humor. What I wasn't prepared for was how quickly he would understand sarcasm and then subsequently use it! This truly is a gift that has allowed him to make it to the ripe old age of three...this may also help him see four. Some discussions are as follows...
Colin: Mommy, why do you keep asking me if I need to go to the bathroom? Do you need to go to the bathroom, do you need to go to the bathroom, do you need to go to the bathroom, OKAY, I'll go!

Colin: Would you like some ice cream?
Me: Yes, I would like Strawberry.
Colin: That will be $5.
Me: $5! The last pretend ice cream was only $2!
Colin: Okay, I am going to count to three and then you need to give me the money. Okay?

Colin: I would like candy for breakfast.
Me: You cannot have candy for breakfast.
Colin: Yes I can, candy makes me really strong. It's really yummy. Okay, I'll ask Daddy.

Colin: We need to go Trick or Treating again, the candy is getting low.
Me: I thought you didn't like trick or treating, remember, you asked to come home after a few minutes.
Colin: Well, you can go.

Me: Say Trick or Treat to me and I will put candy in your pumpkin.
Colin: Mommy, you're funny! Just give me the candy.

1000's of photos...nothing to scrap!

Has that ever happened to you? I have tons of photos ready and waiting but they don't seem "good enough" to put on a page. Curse you photoshop! Now I want all of my photos edited. I've added sorting, editing and printing photos to my to do list. This is actually the longest I have gone without scrapbooking, (not counting vacation). I think it has been almost two weeks. In my defense, I have been swamped with work stuff, sewing costumes, and baking. I am glad this month is over until I realize that it is just about to gear up again straight into the holidays. I know that I will blink and it will be 2009...I just can't think about that right now.

Learning Photoshop....

I have been spending the very little free time that I have had learning how to edit my photos in Photoshop. I'm starting to understand some of it and hopefully can post some cool photos soon. I did manage to scrap a little though. I worked on these LO's with my Scarlet Lime October Kit. I just opened the box and only added adhesive and letter stickers. It was a challenge to work with some of the elements but I am happy with how they turned out. Just a quick post tonight since I am working on Colin's homemade spiderman costume. I made the trial one. It's too short in the torso and arms. I'll try again tomorrow after a good night's rest.
In the mean time....here are two of the LO's I made with this month's kit.

By george I think I got it....

I think I have finally figured out a groove to getting more done in the few hours that I have each day. Get up early?!?! I woke up this AM at 4:30AM and started laundry, checked email, and of course scrapped a little. I'm awake and feel way more productive than if I stayed up till 4:30AM. It's amazing what a little pumpkin patch motivation will do for a scrapbooker, lol. I have a busy day, well weekend, ahead of me and I feel ready to take it on with clean clothes and a newly completed LO. Life is good :-) For those of you who have been juggling this whole mom/work/scrapper thing longer than I have, when did you have your aha moment? Do you work better in the late AM or the early AM? You know the hours when we should be sleeping. I'm convinced if I slept 8 hours every night that I would never get anything accomplished. And doesn't he just look worth it. Have a good day!

Check this out....

Here's an article that I completed for Scrapbooking.com It was so exciting to see this posted. I was really happy with how things came together for this.

In other news, Reminisce is counting down their winners day by day. Didn't they get the memo that I am literally the most impatient person on the planet?? Hopefully it will be worth the wait and if not, well, it was fun playing along and being inspired by so many interesting paper craft projects.
Here's a LO that I completed in the beginning of the summer documenting when I gave Colin his first buzz cut. In my defense, I didn't realize how many bald spots he had underneath his coif. It has since grown back, and I have been instructed to take my son to a hairdresser for any future haircuts.

Reminisce DT Call

Here is a LO and a mini book that I completed for this call. I apologize in advance that these are photos instead of scans. I forgot that it was Tuesday, (LSS is closed), and I didn't count on the rain today=poor lighting. My fingers are crossed on this one. There are very few companies that I could put their product on my table and have everything I need to make the project I want. The only thing I added to these were some cardstock, a couple journaling labels, ribbon/lace, buttons and a few metal embellishments. I love their cardstock stickers and how easy it was to coordinate products between lines. So in my most desperate yet professional voice, Reminisce, PLEASE PICK ME! Thank you for your attention. :-)

I seriously feel better when I scrap....

There is just nothing like putting a few photos and some paper to cardstock for getting my thoughts organized. There is nothing like finishing a project...being able to check something off of my never ending to do list. I just love it!

Today was the last day for soccer. I finally got into a routine for soccer days just as it was ending. Figures. Colin seemed to enjoy this year so it should be interesting to see how he is next year. I just love that he is interested in sports.
He even tolerated half of this weekend's PSU game. He looked so cute in his little white out tee shirt. I'm kicking myself that I didn't take any photos of him. If you have never been to a PSU game, add it to your bucket list. There is no other experience like it. We are....Penn State!
Just a quick post and a LO tonight, I will be posting more tomorrow. I just finished two projects that I will scan/take photos of tomorrow and then hopefully share. I realize that I often tell you about what I am GOING to post but somehow if I put it in writing, it tends to actually happen, lol.
Anyway, here's a LO that I completed in an effort to use all of the wonderful supplies that I own. I admit, I tend to hold on to things that I love since I'm afraid that I will ruin said product. I'm working on that:-) Anyway, have a good night and I chat tomorrow!

Two posts in one day....

it's kind of weird, Colin is asleep really early today and I'm not quite sure what to do with the extra time. I'm actually a bit concerned. He is a MAJOR night owl. Needless to say I have been checking on him like every 15 minutes just to make sure he is still my kid. Maybe vacation and a full week of preschool has finally caught up to him? Anyway since I am awake and it's before midnight, I thought I would post a few new projects. I was telling you about the "me museum" at Colin's preschool. They gave us an 8 1/2 x 11 sheet of cardstock but I couldn't fit all of the photos that I wanted to include and I didn't feel like reprinting them smaller. Besides, I checked out the wall, (a nice perk to handing ours in late), and I was not the only one who expanded their canvas.

I also created a card and used up a few scraps. I may be on to something....

And here's another new LO. I hid my journaling on the back of the tag.

I have to say that I am a huge fan of the charcoal gray products that are available right now. For some reason I think the tone on tone looks the best with gray. Anyway, I have spent a lot of time on line the last few days so I'm planning to give my eyes a little rest and actually work on something.
Although to work on what I want to work on, I need to edit pictures...okay, maybe I will be online for a "few" more minutes, lol.

Under Construction...

I won't even tell you how long it has taken me to make this blog banner. Let's just say, you won't be seeing any digital pages from me anytime soon. Hopefully folks weren't checking in during the really scary times. There were a few options that just did not work. So far I'm happy with how things look...at least for now. Don't get me wrong, I see the benefit to scrapbooking digitally but there are just too many choices for me. I have no idea how I would ever get anything completed? I'll stick with my paper and glue. It's what works for me.

While I'm still awake I might as well share another page. This page I completed after I found a photo of Colin as a baby. I took this photo long before knowing how to frame things or edit them. So by reprinting it, I was able to realize it's potential.

Well that's it for tonight. I'm off to get a bit of shut eye to prepare for what I'm sure will be a very long day tomorrow.

Starting to feel the pressure...

I just completed an "all about me" page for my son's preschool. I seriously stressed about this for a few minutes. We were on vacation when they were due so I haven't turned his in yet. I just started throwing something together and then I realized that this would be hanging in his classroom all year. Considering that just about everyone knows that I am obsessed with scrapbooking, I decided to spend "a little" more time making it kind of cute.

I am impressed that I am finally starting to get faster at completing LO's. I usually am able to complete at least a few each week but the two nights that I had time to scrap this week I got a LO done each evening. It's so nice to COMPLETE something. I really think that is a major reason why I scrap. I can actually check something off of my ever growing list of things to do.

Now if I can just check getting more sleep off of my list I would be set.

Here's a LO that I completed with the August Scarlet Lime Kit. I just love all of the little tags that were included. It was a great way to pull all of the colors in the LO together. Enjoy and hopefully I will remember to take a photo of Colin's all about me page before sending it to school tomorrow, lol!

Getting back into the groove.....

We had a WONDERFUL time in Disney this past week. We were very fortunate to have an extra set of hands. I would have not been able to make it through this week without them, thanks BaBa and G Dad. We got in last night and took today to get reorganized and settled for tomorrow. I did a few neat scrappy things for this trip that I will share as soon as I take photos. I do have to say, that this was the most organized I have been for a trip thanks to my scrap supplies. I made laminated cards that contained all of our important info for the week. I of course make it cute by using coordinating pattern paper and a little ribbon. We had a great time, but it is nice to be home. Now if I could just have a little more pixie dust to finish the rest of this laundry I would be set!

I'm here!

Wow, it's been awhile since I checked in. We have been extremely busy getting ready for vacation, finishing projects and taking on extra things because I have so much extra time on me hands, lol.

Colin just started playing 4 year old soccer, yes he is 3 but kicks like a 5 year old so we figured we would give it a shot. So far so good. He's learning some valuable skills and doing lots of running. He actually said he was a little tired today. He very rarely says that. To get him on the team I needed to be a coach so I haven't had a chance to get any photos yet. I'm going to try to bring my camera next time and try to sneak a few shots of him playing with the big kids, it's so cute.

So do you want to hear my crazy list of things that I need to do before we go on vacation? Yeah, so I decided to make tee shirts...those need finished, I made allergy free cookies and doughnuts, I plan on making cupcakes and muffins yet, a new flavor of ice cream and I need to pack Colin staples (just in case they can't make anything that he likes while we are there), coordinate with the house sitter, buy Colin new sneakers 40 mins from here, pack, finish laundry, iron, pick up dry ice for frozen food, tie loose ends up at work, oh and most importantly...finish scraping last year's photos before taking more. I'm sure there are like 10 other things that I need to do that I haven't thought of yet. It makes me tired just thinking about it.

Did I mention that we are going to the Mouse? For the third time? Please send prayers that all of the hurricanes stay in the ocean and that it is only hot and miserable there versus hot, miserable and wet.

Here's my public service announcement for today. Disney does a great job with managing food allergies. Yeah! It's because of Disney that my son knows what the inside of a restaurant looks like. They really have a great system in place, and if my kid wasn't an anxious eater, I wouldn't need to bring a thing with me. How nice would that be?? Colin still gets a little worried if he doesn't recognize the food in front of him. Which is actually a good thing. I would rather struggle with getting him to trust me and try new things than to just eat anything and get sick all of the time.

Here's another funny story...you know I need to make up for not blogging for like weeks. My wonderful husband is not thrilled with eating breakfast in the Castle. He thinks it's expensive and that we have a boy and he's, (Colin but he really means that he, Matt)is not interested in eating with the princesses. Um hello, I want to eat with the princesses. He doesn't realize that Disney is like a scrapbookers shangrala and that I will be in all of my glory snapping all of those photos. Jeez, if they had that Bibbidi Bobbdi Bo Boutique for grown ups I would so totally sign up and pay the price of our flights to get all gussied up like a princess. And I would proudly walk around the park like I dressed like that every day.

So wish us luck, it's a lot of work and I will be exhausted when we get back. So if you made it to here...you definitely deserve some eye candy. And I have tons, here's a bunch of layouts that I submitted that haven't gotten picked up. So they are free to share! So enjoy and I will talk to you soon, hopefully with an updated to do list that has everything checked off.

5 Things is Up...

I just wanted to share a recent LO that I did for Reminisce. You can see it here, 5 Things. How cool is that? It was fun to play with products that someone else picked out for me and be limited to only those items. So if you are stuck for mojo one day, pull out some photos, a few items and clear everything else off of your desk. It really works for forcing that creativity out of hiding. After I finished this LO I was able to complete three more. I took photos of them last night, I'm sure my neighbors must think I'm crazy when I am out on my deck with paper and my camera. Oh well. I hope to load those tonight. That's it for now, thanks as always for letting me share!

It's been a crazy week....

I've been working on lots of projects and have just started an online organizing workshop at Simplify 101. It's great and has really started me thinking about the right system for me at home. It was the motivation I needed to make a home binder for all of my bills and important documents. Now I can just flip through pages to see what is due rather than opening all of those envelopes. A simple project really but it made a world of difference.

We had a major scare this week with Colin at school. His milk was accidentally switched with another child's. After taking one sip he went to his teacher and said that it wasn't his milk. That's when he started vomiting, breaking out in hives and having labored breathing. So my public service announcement this week...if your child has food allergies, tell everyone that works with him that it is OKAY to give him his Epi Pen. It seems scary to do it and "what happens if he didn't need it?" But in reality, it's better for him to have it if he didn't need it then not to have it and it be too late. The gravity of this hasn't really hit me yet. I'm sure it will soon. We are extremely lucky that he knows so much about his health and new to go to his teacher right away. I'm amazed that he knew enough to just take a sip. Colin is fine, it was rough for about an hour and once home we gave a breathing treatment and Benedryl. It was a learning experience for everyone involved and we now know to make our emergency plan a bit more specific.

Anyway I just realized that I haven't shared a LO here in awhile. So here is one from Blue and White weekend at PSU. I have several mini books that I just completed. Any tips for taking photos of them?

What I am working on now....

I can hardly contain my excitement! I came home today to some wonderful scrappy mail! I found out last week that I am one of the four contestants in Reminisce's Take 5 contest. So they sent me some of their newly released goodies to make a LO with. Yeah!

I can't wait to get started! I will post more soon. I have lots of updates to share. Blog ya later!

The Big Picture....

I have so much to share from an extremely busy weekend. So I went to the Creating Keepsakes Convention in Valley Forge this weekend. This was the first type of event that I attended like this so I didn't know exactly what to expect. I scheduled three classes and two volunteer shifts. The class that I was looking forward to the most was Finish Line Scrapbooking with Stacy Julian. I have those photos that I want to scrap but they just keep getting pushed to the side in favor of other projects. I knew I NEEDED this class. It's a leap of faith and definitely out of my comfort zone, (you just had to bring photos and black embellishments, you had no idea what paper you were going to work with, I even emailed ahead of time thinking I might get a better idea of what size photos or what color photos to bring but no luck. She said, just bring your photos.) It worked out great, I loved the result. She chatted with me afterwards and signed my copy of her newest book, Photo Freedom. She definitely has helped me see the "bigger picture" this weekend, in more ways than one. Thank you Stacy!

I was a Teacher's Assistant for my two volunteer shifts. I had no idea which classes that I would be volunteering for until I got into my assigned room and saw the materials on the floor. I was very lucky to have the opportunity to help out some very talented ladies, and a gentleman. In total it was four classes. A class from Pazzles, Tiffany Tillman, Stacy Julian and Piggy Tales. Pazzles showed everyone how to work with their software, Tiffany, get this, made me measure and Piggy Tales made some very hip cards. And Stacy, well it was a pleasure to listen to her lecture both on Friday and Saturday.
I really could listen to her talk about scrapbooking and her perspective all day. And that really is saying a lot coming from me because I do like to hear myself talk. And if you know me, you know just how much I like listening to myself talk. Seriously I felt like someone needed to pinch me Saturday afternoon.
*sigh* I love scrapbooking.

I also got to meet up with some CKMBer's in real life. It's always fun to get together with these girls and have a good laugh. I can't wait for the next crop, which I have already forgotten when it is, someone please remind me so I can put it in my calendar.

Here are also the ID tags that I made for this event.
I just die cut a plastic placemat and glued foam letters that I had die cut as well. I used a craft glue that is made to dry clear and adhere fabric to all kinds of smooth materials. It worked great and we then tied the tags onto our bags with ribbon.

Okay that's it for now. I jumped out of bed because I had an idea and I wanted to write it down before I forget. Then I thought, while I'm awake I might as well do a few things. Take care and have a nice start to your week!

Trying to be ahead of the game....

So I'm trying to get everything organized for my weekend in Valley Forge. I'm looking through photos to determine what I want to work on while there. I'm looking forward to getting some projects completed while there. Well....at least I am going to try. I'm working hard to only bring what I think I will have time to work on and plan on leaving the rest. I think I will pick out my products first and then decide what photos to print. Although I have a feeling that some of these photos will make it on a LO very soon.

Who knew I had such a buff kid?

Happy Face.

Sad Face.

Well that's it for now. Wish me luck as I start to pack!

Let's see if this works....

so I am posting on my new phone's internet browser. With going out of town I realized that my family may need to get a hold of me and my prehistoric phone will no longer hold a charge. I went over my lunch to have it fixed and got "talked" into a new one instead. I say "talked" because I was planning on getting a new one anyway, just not this week. This may go back to the store even if it is almost free with the rebate and upgrade credit. ~sigh~ Wouldn't be nice to not have to worry about money? I guess it wouldn't make a difference since I would just have different things to worry about. I do have to honest.....this is pretty cool. I remember my first cell phone, it was huge and extremely expensive. Now I have an entire keyboard and the internet....you know until I take it back.

It's been a busy week....

so it's the end of my first week returning to the world of working Monday through Friday. Needless to say, I am wiped! I have several projects that I am working on that I hope to finish up today. I was told that I would receive a guaranteed block of time each week uninterrupted. I can't wait. I am definitely due for a little me time. It helps me focus and organize all of my priorities for the week. So right now I am finishing up a Disney LO for my upcoming class. You will not believe how many photos I was able to get onto this two page spread with still a ton of room for all of those precious details. As soon as it is completed I will share it with all of you.

Did you realize that CKC in Valley Forge is only a few days away! I cut out all of the pieces for the CKMB ID's to complete today as well. If you already sent me your address, these will be in the mail on Monday. If not and you are still interested in having this RAK, let me know and I will bring extras with me to the conference and we can arrange a time to meet. So that's it for now. I'll leave you with a newer LO that just melts my heart everytime I look at it. Enjoy!

I think I had too much coffee.....

or I am just completely inspired by my evening. I attended the Lisa Bearnson book signing at ScrapMasters. She spent time chatting with all of us while signing our copies of her new book. She was so genuine in person and truly a pleasure to meet. So I drove home, cracked open my new eye candy and I have been doing scrap stuff ever since. I did have a "little" coffee while I was waiting in line. So basically it's a pretty brutal combination that ensured that I would be up till the wee hours of the morning. Oh well, I had such a good time and it was totally worth the trip.

Here's an update on the RAK. I am waiting on one address from the winners. I am hoping to have these items in the mail on Monday. Again, I can't thank you enough for all of the wonderful comments that you left on the blog. I truly enjoy chatting online and checking out everyone else's blogs too.

So since I'm awake, I updated my gallery at 2peas with several LO's that I have been holding onto for one reason or another. I have still kept a few but once I got started uploading, I just couldn't stop, lol! I think I added about 9 LO's so feel free to check it out.

Here's one to share here. This was a fun technique and I really like how it turned out. This was one of my SOY entries. I used Scotch's Photo Laminating Sheets and adhered the sticky side to my chipboard. I then die cut it, stamped with Staz On ink and "inked" the edges using my American Crafts white slick writer. I love the blue and white together, I'm sure it has to do with being a PSU grad. It's funny lately I've been obsessed with die cutting stuff. Maybe I should write a "101 things to put in your die cut machine," or you know like 4 things because I don't know if I could think of 101 things to put in there, lol.

So what do you cut in your die cut machine?
